Social Enterprise Visits

The Social Enterprise Visit Programme was launched in March 2003 as a partner to the former Inside UK Enterprise programme.

As well as attracting leaders and managers from Social Enterprises, the visits also attract executives from private sector companies in England. “A brilliant day, really informative, with lots of opportunity to share best practices - lots of variety, particularly enjoyed the friendly, relaxed atmosphere." (Visitor from Lloyds TSB to TTC 2000.)

The aims of this one-day visit programme are to:

  • provide an accessible and flexible model to share management best practice across social  enterprises in England
  • promote learning across social enterprises and mainstream businesses
  • showcase the business achievements of social enterprises to the wider business community.

Who can visit?

  • Leaders and representatives from social enterprises who know enhanced business performance achieves social goals more quickly.
  • Leaders and managers from the private sector who can gain fresh insights from the business strengths of social enterprise.
  • Managers from the voluntary sector wanting to learn more about successful social enterprise.

Some of the general business topics covered under this programme include:

  • customer focus
  • business planning
  • people issues
  • raising finance
  • marketing
  • leadership
  • exploring new markets.

Social Enterprise Visits Updates

This mechanism was seen as a mutually rewarding link exchange, a true win-win situation as both websites would benefit from such a two-way Link exchange. Obviously a two-sided link exchange doesn't need to be a vote for any content on any website but just a marketing tool, in fact a SEO tool, a search engine optimizing tool.
